Andrew Hatherley is the founder of Transcend Retirement, LLC and Wiser Divorce Solutions, LLC and the host of The Gray Divorce Podcast. After going through his own mid-life divorce, Andrew decided to help other people avoid the financial and emotional stress so common to the process. He earned the designation Certified Divorce Financial Analyst and is trained in mediation and Collaborative Divorce. He is also a member of the Amicable Divorce Network. In 2022, Andrew started The Gray Divorce Podcast, which is focused on the issues affecting divorcees over the age of fifty. Andrew has over 20 years of experience in investment management and financial planning. He has also studied with leaders in the field of humanistic and positive psychology and is a strong advocate for the role creativity can play in personal growth after trauma. He has written numerous articles for industry publications and speaks regularly to professional groups and the public on the financial issues of late life divorce. Recently, he contributed three chapters to the book Divorce Amicably: Your Roadmap to Resolution and wrote the white paper: The Gray Divorce Phenomenon: How to Create Financial Independence after Mid-Late-Life Divorce.

Judge Cheryl A. Joseph was appointed by Governor Andrew Cuomo to the NYS Court of Claims on May 5, 2015. She currently presides over matrimonial cases in the Supreme Court, Suffolk County. In August, 2020 Judge Joseph was named Supervising Judge of the Matrimonial Parts in Suffolk County. Her professional experience includes the positions of Adjunct Professor of Law at Touro Law Center in Central Islip, New York; Support Magistrate in Family Court (NYC and Suffolk County); Supervising Court Attorney in Queens Family Court; Domestic Violence Court Coordinator for the Center for Court Innovation, and Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan.
Judge Joseph is a frequent lecturer and presenter on family and matrimonial law for various organizations including the New York State Judicial Institute, the New York State Bar Association and the Suffolk County Bar Association. In April 2021 Judge Joseph was appointed Chairperson of the Committee on Equal Justice in the Courts in Suffolk County. Additionally, she serves as a member of the New York State Unified Court System’s Access to Justice Committee, the Franklin H. Williams Commission 10th Judicial Advisory Group, the Matrimonial Practice Advisory and Rules Committee, the Matrimonial Curriculum Committee for the New York State Judicial Institute, the Advisory Committee on Attorneys for Children for the 10th Judicial District, and the Mental Health Certification Committee for the First and Second Judicial Departments.
Judge Joseph received her Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from New York University’s College of Arts and Science in 1993. She received her Juris Doctor degree from New York University School of Law in 1996 wherein she also received the
Myron L. Greene Award for Oral Advocacy. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to Edward and Ruby Joseph who both immigrated to the United States from the West Indies. She was raised in Nassau County and currently resides in Suffolk County with her two sons, Bryce age 21 and Ethan age 19.

Judge Jeffrey A. Goodstein is the Supervising Judge for the Matrimonial Matters, New York State Supreme Court, Nassau County. From 2023-2026, he served as the Supervising Judge of both the Supreme Court and Matrimonial Courts. He was elected to the Nassau County Court in 2025 and is an Acting Supreme Court Judge. Prior to that he was nominated to the Court of Claims by Governor Andrew Cuomo in June of 2012 and was confirmed by the State Senate that same month. He has been assigned to the Nassau County Supreme Court as an Acting Supreme Court Justice since his appointment. He is a member of the NYS OCA Matrimonial Practice and Rule Committee and the Nassau County Attorney for the Child Advisory Committee. Judge Goodstein is the coordinator of the Judicial Internship Program for all the Courts in Nassau County. He was a member of the Nassau County Clergy Day Program, the Nassau County Women in the Court’s Committee and the Nassau County Courts LGBTQ committee. In 2000, he was recognized with the Nassau County Courts award for heroism after a successful resuscitation of an individual in cardiac arrest. In 2006 and 2019, Judge Goodstein received the President's Award from the Nassau County Bar Association. In 2017, he received the Hon. Edward J. Hart Judge of the Year Award from the Fraternal Order of Court Officers. In 2019, he received Hofstra Law School’s Access to Justice Champion Award. In 2022, he was awarded the Jewish Lawyers Association of Nassau County’s Paul J. Widlitz Award. Judge Goodstein was an Adjunct Professor of Law at St. John’s Law School and has lectured at Touro Law School, St. John’s Law School, Washington and Lee Law School and Hofstra University School of Law He has served on the Board of Directors of the Nassau County Bar Association, past Chair of the We Care Advisory Board of the Nassau County Bar Association and served as the chair of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Judicial, Catering and Legislative committees. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association’s President’s Committees on Access to Justice and the Committee on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. He is an active member of the Rockville Centre Fire Department having served as Captain, Lieutenant, and Warden of the Rescue Company. From 1996 until 2002, he was the Chief Fire Inspector for the Village of Rockville Centre. He is a past president of Congregation B’nai Sholom-Beth David. Prior to attending law school, Judge Goodstein was a talent agent representing actors in television, theater and film. He is admitted to practice in New York and the Eastern and
Southern Districts of New York. He received his Juris Doctorate in 1997 from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law School. He served as Managing Editor of the Touro International Law Review. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theater from Ithaca College in 1989.
